Hello all…

I just wanted to take a minute and talk to you about what is going on in the world of Internet Marketing and Web 2.0.

Anyone attempting that has ever played their hand at a home based business, online or off, can tell you that there is a lot more work to make it than the average person would believe.
ESPECIALLY if you choose to become involved with an MLM (Multi Level Marketing) buiness opportunity.

There is a huge misconception out there that MLM’s are “Self building business opportunities”.

Truth be told, the only thing that builds itself is failure!

I am about to let an industry cat out of the bag.

There is no such thing as an automated business! Businesses do not build themselves! MLM or otherwise.

One of the biggest reasons for the false belief that you can make money without effort is due to people of a less than scrupulous nature spreading the virus that their “Turn key business opportunity” is fully automated, just pay the fees to get involved and you will get rich. I am here to tell you that the only key being turned by these so called “business people” is the key to start the ignition of failure, debt, depression, and addiction.

You read that right…addiction! See what happens is that people have a vision of financial independance. They put their misplaced hope and faith in the false promises being made, and when they don’t receive it in the business opportunity that they just put money into, that they probably didn’t have to spend in the first place, finding that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow becomes an obsession.

Even more money is spent on useless software, dead end leads, and the never ending latest greatest business opportunity.

Don’t get me wrong. This is not meant to be negative toward MLM companies. In fact…I believe that Multi Level Marketing can be one of the best forms of compensation possible. The problem is the means of promoting many of the business opportunities out there.

If you are told that a business opportunity is:

a. 100% Automated

b. Completely duplicatable

c. Going to be built for you

Then you probably are not going to want anything to do with it.

I teach people the power of delegation, not the hype of duplication. To duplicate something would be to make a carbon copy of it. We are all individual! I cannot duplicate what my friend Wes Wyatt does. I can take what he does and personalize it to my personality…but if I duplicate it (remember, carbon copy) and attempt to put that exact replica over top of my personality…it is not going to fit! It is not honest! It is attempting to give the appearance of something that you are not.

If you are struggling, overwhelmed, confused, or can’t help but feel that you are not being given “The whole story”, then you owe it to yourself to seek out people like myself, Rex Harris, Val Smyth, and Wes Wyatt.

We have students from MANY different business opportunities so our intent is to see you succeed REGARDLESS of the business that you are in!

Dave Gorby asks “Are you suffering from a broke ass mentality?”

It absolutely blows my mind the mindset that most people I encounter posses! You probably know by now that I am a high profile Internet Marketer, which means, I spend a lot of time on the Internet.

Because I believe in actually being a part of what I do and NOT attempt to create an auto-pilot money machine, I interact with many other so called Internet Marketers daily.

This wonderful industry of mine, that I love, is being polluted and diluted daily with an abundance of people with a mindset ridden with failure!

It would seem that most people couldn’t be rich if you gave them $10 Million!

When I am talking to my friend Val Smyth, and he is telling me about making $85,000 a week, I don’t get scared and say “Oh…I could never make that” or “Come on Val…you couldn’t have made $85,000 in one week!”

NO! I say “I understand Val, that is why I love working with you!”

Or when I am talking to my friend Wes Wyatt and he is telling me about his latest trip to Cancun. I don’t say “Now Wes…you were really on a Cancun based ride at Disney Land right?” or “I could never spend that kind of money on a vacation!”

NO! I say “Sounds like a great time! I am looking forward to the next trip!”

I have never doubted my success. Since as far back as I can remember my success was inevitable. It was just finding the vehicle(s) to obtain the wealth that I always knew was waiting.

I was sharing with my dad recently my daydreams at about 5 years old, sitting in a penthouse office suite on the top floor of a high rise that I owned! I didn’t know what I did for a living, all I knew was that I was in a very nice suit, in an incredible office, and I WAS the boss…not reporting to one!

He got a chuckle out of our conversation.

I don’t only teach people the mechanical operations of building their businesses online, but the necessary mindset for their organization to be successful.

What I have come to realize, much to my disappointment, is that I can only teach mindset to those capable of grasping it.

Which brings a very crucial question to mind. WHY DID THEY GET INVOLVED WITH THEIR BUSINESS IN THE FIRST PLACE???

The fact that they paid money to become an “Independent Representative” of their MLM, or what ever opportunity that they are promoting, should stand to reason that they are making at least an attempt at success. But that seems to be the exception instead of the rule.

Daily I hear “as long as I don’t have to spend any money” or “That sounds great, but I don’t have any money”

I understand the truth behind not being able to afford something, but successful people find ways to get what they want or need.

When my friend Rex Harris and I were first approached with Val’s Prosperity Cast Network “PCN”, neither of us screamed “$2,000! Are you crazy?!?!” No. We said, ok…what do we each need to do to put up the money?

I guess or mindset for success just enables us to think differently than most. I don’t know.

I teach people from all aspects of businesses, and the #1 objection they say they encounter is that people just don’t have the money. We are talking about price tags a low as $33 a month!

If someone cannot see themselves putting up, or finding $33 to be in business, which they insist they want to be in…than that is someone that I wouldn’t want on my team to begin with!

This is longer than most of my rants, I know, but damn! What is going on in the heads of so called “Professionals”?

When looking into the option of becoming self employed there is a lot to be considered.

What industry are you going to go into?

What product or service are you going to offer?

Who are you going to market to?

How are you going to advertise?

From my ten plus years in sales and marketing I can help you answer these inevitable questions.

1. It is absolutely necessary that you choose and industry, product, and service that you yourself are passionate about! If you are not passionate about what you are doing, no one else will be either! Referrals are the BEST sale in the world no matter what your service or product is. A happy customer tells a friend. And when a friend tells you about something that they enjoy your natural instinct is to check it out for yourself. If someone you know and trust is telling you about it…it must be good!

So PASSION is the number 1 requirement for everyone!

2. You are going to want to market towards your target audience for your specific product or service. Notice I asked “Who are you going to market to?” and “How are you going to advertise?” as two seperate questions. That is because, despite popular belief, they are very different things and don’t allow anyone to tell you otherwise!

So after you have decided on industry, product, and service…it is crucial that you PROPERLY identify your target audience!

If you are selling radial tires you don’t want to focus on restaurant owners, or daycare centers.

While this example may seem extreme, it is very accurate, and I’m sure that you got the point!

3. As far as advertising, it is my experience, that nothing can compete with the Internet! However, this brings us back to number 2. The Internet has anyone and everyone on it. You do not want the majority of your traffic for your newest, greatest, energy drink coming from people that have heart conditions and caffeine allergies.

Once you have chosen industry, product, service, target audience, and lets say Internet as the advertising vehicle, the Internet has taken a serious turn on how people are using it, and you need to be aware of it! As well as trends to come.

Social marketing is a necessity in todays Internet marketing. As are SEO, and Web 2.0.

4. Above all else…SELF BRANDING IS A MUST!!! Regardless of the industry, product, service, audience, etc. People buy from people before they buy from stores, or websites.

For example, have you ever gone to a gas station where the prices were a cent or two higher, but you know the people there? You like them, they know and like you so you will by nature go to that gas station whenever possible. That principle is universal.

Odds are the employees there aren’t even aware of it, but they have branded themselves…not the corporation that owns the store where they are employed.

There are a multitude of so called “Guru’s” or “Mentorship” programs out there for the potential Home Based Business entrepreneur, but do your research! www.ibrandonline.com has an extensive ongoing training in all things marketing and sales.

Dave Gorby on having a true Internet Marketing Mentor and Web 2.0

Here is just my 2 (ok, maybe 4) cents on what is going on in the world of Internet Marketing.

For those of you that know me you already know that I am a high profile Internet Marketing Mentor and coach. For those of you that didn’t know…now you do.

I am talking with a gentlemen online as I write this blog and it is just BLOWING MY MIND!

Not only did he have no idea that myspace and social networks are the “promised land” of prospecting, but even after I told him so, his exact words were “I like using myspace for meeting people and stuff”

AAAAaahhhhhhh….THAT IS WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT!!!!

Meeting people! Yes, and stuff.

So here was my explanation to him:

Me: If I could show you a restaraunt where there were thousands of people eating lunch every day waiting for someone to tell them about how they could use capsules to reduce their cost of gasoline, would you just go there and eat or would you share your FFI product with them?
Him: I’ll share the product
Me: exactly
Me: myspace is that restaraunt my friend

The problem most people are experiencing online is that no one takes the time to break it down like this for them.

Why would I tell some one what to do, when I can EXPLAIN to them why we are doing it?

I don’t know about you, but I work with entirely too many people to hold their hand forever. Plus I am doing them a serious injustice by doing so.

I teach my people how to be self sufficient, so they can stand on their own two feet, then show their people how to do the same.

Let’s face facts. I am blessed! I have been blessed with mentors that taught me the things that we are talking about right now. If not, I would probably be reading this saying to myself “That makes sense!” instead of writing it saying “Why aren’t people teaching this?”

Web 2.0 is simply the second wave of the Internet people, and it is not on it’s way…IT IS HERE!

People use the Internet differently than they did even last year. Nor do they respond to the same techniques as last year.

If you don’t have someone showing you right from wrong…you will never know the difference!

For many people the answer to this is a definite yes. And for most that answer goes against everything that they have been trained to admit.

People have been fashioned to believe they must tell people that they are doing better than they really are in order to achieve the level of success that they are striving for.

Nothing could be further from the truth!

This is the exact mentality that prevents most people from ever achieving true success!

Why? Because it is dishonest. What most people don’t realize is that if they are not currently to the point of success that they are striving for (and most aren’t) it is probably not their fault.

Most people in this industry have simply either been taught the wrong things, or never taught the right.

To those of you that read my blogs you know that I am a high profile Internet marketer.

But how did I get there?

Not overnight I can tell you that! It cost me years of trial and error and thousands, and thousands of dollars!

When I first began to "dabble" in Internet marketing I was like most of you probably were.

In 30-60 days I was going to be on a yacht, or in the Ferarri that was on the generic ass capture page that I provided my name, email address and phone number to.

Needless to say I would be taken by many either scams, or just ignorant people who were trying to get the same yacht and Ferrari.

I tried to give up marketing online many times, but something kept drawing me back.

So how did I transform from the sucker that thought an autoresponder was going to be his retirement fund, to the person that mentors others on how to do it right?

Very simple. I met Rex Harris, who working with him I found Karin Hiebert on the Internet, and through Karen I found Wes Wyatt, and yes...Val Smyth. CEO and founder of The Prosperity Cast Network.

These people talked the way I did. They didn't b.s. and promise me over night riches with no effort on my behalf. It was quite the opposite.

They promised to give me the tools to make me successful if I used them the way they would show me how.

They promised me support, but actually supplied it! I work with Karin daily since the first night I requested her as a friend on myspace (If you are currently not utilizing myspace it's ok, you probably haven't been taught how to do it properly anyway), Rex and Wes daily, and Val whenever I ask him for his help.

See as head guy at PCN Val doesn't give us the typical marketing partyline b.s. that you hear. None of that buy leads from where I tell you (yes, when they tell you where to buy your leads they ARE making money on your purchase), duplication is the key (the only thing duplicated in this industry is failure, you will hear Val say this plenty), or 100% automated system crap.

He gives us the real deal. What he does as a multi-millionaire to generate his income. The stuff no one would ever share before.

Without the support that I have I was doomed to fail, just like the 97% of online marketers without this information are going to.

I don't claim I make people rich. I give people the tools NECESSARY to become rich. Whether or not you use them is up to you.

I can teach everything with the exception of drive.

Dave Gorby on Building a Homebased Business Opportunity Online

Where to start?

Literally. If you are looking to build a home based business opportunity online where do you start?

There are more options available than one person, or many for that matter, could ever even explore, let alone study and accurately understand.

Do you go MLM?

Do you open an online store?

Do you resell other peoples products or your own?

For conversations sake lets say that you choose to promote a Multi Level Marketing (MLM) opportunity.

How does their compensation work? Is it a binary structure, or perhaps a forced matrix? Do you receive over rides on 3 levels, 5 levels, 10 levels?

Are there break aways?

Are you starting to get the picture?

Once again, for conversations sake, lets say you pick your business opportunity, actually understand how are you going to get paid (or at least for the most part), how do you get to talk to people that are actually interested in whatever your opportunity is?

Do you listen to the old school marketer that is going to tell you to make a list of family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, people you met in college, and people that you think you may have heard of somewhere perhaps and then actually call all of these people?

I mean really, if they had a need, or desire, for whatever it is that you have, don’t you think they would have called you asking if you knew where they could find it?

Do you listen to the person that recruited you from the fancy capture page that you simply requested more information from, and buy your own capture page(s), leads, etc. and start loading those addresses into an autoresponder and wait for the millions to start rolling in?(Just like they still are waiting for)

Do you do a google search for “free marketing online” and start surfing for credits, or join a million and two safelists debating if the paid e-mail blasts really work, being that the hundreds of non paid e-mails that you have sent aren’t filling your paypal account…just yet.

The sad part of this story is, not only have I done these things (how do you think I new about them to write this anyway?), and if you understand what I am talking about so have you! Yes, I actually did see you nodding your head while you were reading this lol.

Just like everything else has gone through considerable change over the last several years, so has the Internet.

If the Internet has changed than so must the way we use it!

Web 2.0 has not only made this change tolerable, but exciting.

The utilization of social networks, informational sites, and yes, even blogs has turned the inevitable into the enjoyable.

Personally I have found that obtaining an HONEST, knowledgeable mentor has made all the difference in the world for me.

I am of the old school mentally and quite honestly, change is not easy! Thank goodness Karin (my mentor) has made this change possible for me.

There are also groups out there to help.

For myself, The Prosperity Cast Network, or PCN, was an obvious guiding light with such industry leaders as Karin Hiebert, Rex Harris, and Wes Wyatt.

PCN is headed by the infamous Val Smyth who has paved the way to keep up through trends over the years by simply creating them.

If for some reason you have been on a deserted island isolated from any and all information pertaining to the marketing industry over the last two decades, and have not heard of Val, simply google his name and you will find an abundance of information on him.

The truly amazing thing about Val is that even though his net worth is in excess of $30 Million, he is extremely approachable and eager to help. Unlike so many of the so called “guru’s” out there that feel they are above the very people that make them considered great in the world of marketing to begin with.

My question is this…

If my knowledge of Web 2.0 and social marketing, and my exposure and growth from Karin, Val, Rex, Wes and PCN are what is finally enabling me to be not only successful, but happy in this industry…what are you doing?

If you have not been enlightened by The Master Key System...why not?

Perhaps you simply have not been exposed to The Master Key System up to this point in your life. If that is the case you are welcome, because obviously it's not the case anymore.

Perhaps you do not have the desire for personal growth. Seriously. Those people are out there too. Luckily I'm not one of them!

Personally, I search for growth in all aspects of life at all times.

Mentally, spriritually, finacially, consious, sub-consious, you name it.

Part One

It is my privilege to enclose herewith Part One of The Master Key System. Would you bring into your life more power? Get the power consciousness. More health? Get the health consciousness. More happiness? Get the happiness consciousness. Live the spirit of these things until they become yours by right. It will then become impossible to keep them from you. The things of the world are fluid to a power within man by which he rules them.

You need not acquire this power. You already have it. But you want to understand it; you want to use it; you want to control it; you want to impregnate yourself with it, so that you can go forward and carry the world before you.

Day by day as you go on and on, as you gain momentum, as your inspiration deepens, as your plans crystallize, as you gain understanding, you will come to realize that this world is no dead pile of stones and timber, but that it is a living thing! It is made up of the beating hearts of humanity. It is a thing of life and beauty.

It is evident that it requires understanding to work with material of this description, but those who come into this understanding, are inspired by a new light, a new force, they

gain confidence and greater power each day, they realize their hopes and their dreams come true, life has a deeper, fuller, clearer meaning than before.

And, now, Part One.

PART ONE

1. That much gathers more is true on every plane of existence and that loss leads to greater loss is equally true.

2. Mind is creative, and conditions, environment and all experiences in life are the result of our habitual or predominant mental attitude.

3. The attitude of mind necessarily depends upon what we think. Therefore, the secret of all power, all achievement and all possession depends upon our method of thinking.

4. This is true because we must "be" before we can "do," and we can "do" only to the extent which we "are," and what we "are" depends upon what we "think."

5. We cannot express powers that we do not possess. The only way by which we may secure possession of power is to become conscious of power, and we can never become conscious of power until we learn that all power is from within.

6. There is a world within – a world of thought and feeling and power; of light and life and beauty and, although invisible, its forces are mighty.

7. The world within is governed by mind. When we discover this world we shall find the solution for every problem, the cause for every effect; and since the world within is subject to our control, all laws of power and possession are also within our control.

8. The world without is a reflection of the world within. What appears without is what has been found within. In the world within may be found infinite Wisdom, infinite Power, infinite Supply of all that is necessary, waiting for unfoldment, development and expression. If we recognize these potentialities in the world within they will take form in the world without.

9. Harmony in the world within will be reflected in the world without by harmonious conditions, agreeable surroundings, the best of everything. It is the foundation of health and a necessary essential to all greatness, all power, all attainment, all achievement and all success.

10. Harmony in the world within means the ability to control our thoughts, and to determine for ourselves how any experience is to affect us.

11. Harmony in the world within results in optimism and affluence; affluence within results in affluence without.

12. The world without reflects the circumstances and the conditions of the consciousness within.

13. If we find wisdom in the world within, we shall have the understanding to discern the marvelous possibilities that are latent in this world within, and we shall be given the power to make these possibilities manifest in the world without.

14. As we become conscious of the wisdom in the world within, we mentally take possession of this wisdom, and by taking mental possession we come into actual possession of the power and wisdom necessary to bring into manifestation the essentials necessary for our most complete and harmonious development.

15. The world within is the practical world in which the men and women of power generate courage, hope, enthusiasm, confidence, trust and faith, by which they are given the fine intelligence to see the vision and the practical skill to make the vision real.

16. Life is an unfoldment, not accretion. What comes to us in the world without is what we already possess in the world within.

17. All possession is based on consciousness. All gain is the result of an accumulative consciousness. All loss is the result of a scattering consciousness.

18. Mental efficiency is contingent upon harmony; discord means confusion; therefore, he who would acquire power must be in harmony with Natural Law.

19. We are related to the world without by the objective mind. The brain is the organ of this mind and the cerebro-spinal system of nerves puts us in conscious communication with every part of the body. This system of nerves responds to every sensation of light, heat, odor, sound and taste.

20. When this mind thinks correctly, when it understands the truth, when the thoughts sent through the cerebro-spinal nervous system to the body are constructive, these sensations are pleasant, harmonious.

21. The result is that we build strength, vitality and all constructive forces into our body, but it is through this same objective mind that all distress, sickness, lack, limitation and every form of discord and inharmony is admitted to our lives. It is therefore through the objective mind, by wrong thinking, that we are related to all destructive forces.

22. We are related to the world within by the subconscious mind. The solar plexus is the organ of this mind; the sympathetic system of nerves presides over all subjective sensations, such as joy, fear, love, emotion, respiration, imagination and all other subconscious phenomena. It is through the subconscious that we are connected with the Universal Mind and brought into relation with the Infinite constructive forces of the Universe.

23. It is the coordination of these two centers of our being, and the understanding of their functions, which is the great secret of life. With this knowledge we can bring the objective and subjective minds into conscious cooperation and thus coordinate the finite and the infinite. Our future is entirely within our own control. It is not at the mercy of any capricious or uncertain external power.

24. All agree that there is but one Principle or Consciousness pervading the entire Universe, occupying all space, and being essentially the same in kind at every point of its presence. It is all powerful, all wisdom and always present. All thoughts and things are within Itself. It is all in all.

25. There is but one consciousness in the universe able to think; and when it thinks, its thoughts become objective things to it. As this Consciousness is omnipresent, it must be present within every individual; each individual must be a manifestation of that Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent Consciousness.

26. As there is only one Consciousness in the Universe that is able to think it necessarily follows that your consciousness is identical with the Universal Consciousness, or, in other words, all mind is one mind. There is no dodging this conclusion.

27. The consciousness that focuses in your brain cells is the same consciousness which focuses in the brain cells of every other individual. Each individual is but the individualization of the Universal, the Cosmic Mind.

28. The Universal Mind is static or potential energy; it simply is; it can manifest only through the individual, and the individual can manifest only through the Universal. They are one.

29. The ability of the individual to think is his ability to act on the Universal and bring it into manifestation. Human consciousness consists only in the ability of man to think. Mind in itself is believed to be a subtle form of static energy, from which arises the activities called 'thought,' which is the dynamic phase of mind. Mind is static energy, thought is dynamic energy - the two phases of the same thing. Thought is therefore the vibratory force formed by converting static mind into dynamic mind.

30. As the sum of all attributes are contained in the Universal Mind, which is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent, these attributes must be present at all times in their potential form in every individual. Therefore, when the individual thinks, the thought is compelled by its nature to embody itself in an objectivity or condition which will correspond with its origin.

31. Every thought therefore is a cause and every condition an effect; for this reason it is absolutely essential that you control your thoughts so as to bring forth only desirable conditions.

32. All power is from within, and is absolutely under your control; it comes through exact knowledge and by the voluntary exercises of exact principles.

33. It should be plain that when you acquire a thorough understanding of this law, and are able to control your thought processes, you can apply it to any condition; in other words, you will have come into conscious cooperation with Omnipotent law which is the fundamental basis of all things.

34. The Universal Mind is the life principle of every atom which is in existence; every atom is continually striving to manifest more life; all are intelligent, and all are seeking to carry out the purpose for which they were created.

35. A majority of mankind lives in the world without; few have found the world within, and yet it is the world within that makes the world without; it is therefore creative and everything which you find in your world without has been created by you in the world within.

36. This system will bring you into a realization of power which will be yours when you understand this relation between the world without and the world within. The world within is the cause, the world without the effect; to change the effect you must change the cause.

37. You will at once see that this is a radically new and different idea; most men try to change effects by working with effects. They fail to see that this is simply changing one form of distress for another. To remove discord, we must remove the cause, and this cause can be found only in the world within.

38. All growth is from within. This is evident in all nature. Every plant, every animal, every human is a living testimony to this great law, and the error of the ages is in looking for strength or power from without.

39. The world within is the Universal fountain of supply, and the world without is the outlet to the stream. Our ability to receive depends upon our recognition of this Universal Fountain, this Infinite Energy of which each individual is an outlet, and so is one with every other individual.

40. Recognition is a mental process, mental action is therefore the interaction of the individual upon the Universal Mind, and as the Universal Mind is the intelligence which pervades all space and animates all living things, this mental action and reaction is the law of causation, but the principle of causation does not obtain in the individual but in the Universal Mind. It is not an objective faculty but a subjective process, and the results are seen in an infinite variety of conditions and experiences.

41. In order to express life there must be mind; nothing can exist without mind. Everything which exists is some manifestation of this one basic substance from which and by which all things have been created and are continually being recreated.

42. We live in a fathomless sea of plastic mind substance. This substance is ever alive and active. It is sensitive to the highest degree. It takes form according to the mental demand. Thought forms the mold or matrix from which the substance expresses.

43. Remember that it is in the application alone that the value consists, and that a practical understanding of this law will substitute abundance for poverty, wisdom for ignorance, harmony for discord and freedom for tyranny, and certainly there can be no greater blessing than these from a material and social standpoint.

44. Now make the application: Select a room where you can be alone and undisturbed; sit erect, comfortably, but do not lounge; let your thoughts roam where they will but be perfectly still for from fifteen minutes to half an hour; continue this for three or four days or for a week until you secure full control of your physical being.

45. Many will find this extremely difficult; others will conquer with ease, but it is absolutely essential to secure complete control of the body before you are ready to progress. Next week you will receive instructions for the next step; in the meantime you must have mastered this one.

Another life changing day in the life of Dave! I will tell you what, after being in a WIDE spectrum of sales and marketing for most of my adult life, things have never made this much sense.

Anyone who knows me knows that I have sold everything from Kirby sweepers, to Cemetery property, and everything in between.

I have had very successful organizations in Multi Level Marketing, and I have been taken by some of the most well spoken crooks in history!

Thank goodness for my faith is all I can say.

I have always known that I wasn't a 9-5 kind of guy. Not that there is anything wrong with that! I have actually made several attempts at it because this world needs all types of people, and I beleive I wouldn't know what kind I was unless I tried them all :-)

We all know that the Internet has changed the life of everyone that has been exposed to it. I, for one, had no idea of the evolution(s) that the Internet would go through.
